Work Experience
- Development InfoStructure: Systems Analyst, May 2008 - Present
I was able to take on multiple roles while working for Development InfoStructure (Devis). As a software developer, I worked in small teams writing Java web applications using technologies such as Hibernate, JBoss, and Seam. As a UI developer, I worked both alone and in a team implementing designs in accessible, semantic, and standards compliant HTML, CSS, and Javascript for government websites such as DNA.gov and nationalresourcedirectory.org. I also redesigned the User Interfaces for sophisticated web applications such as Devis' EZRO CMS and USAID's Credit Management System. Additionally created graphics, Flash animations, and Javascripts for various projects.
- Dean and Company: Programmer, July 2007 - May 2008
At Dean and Company, I worked part time as the sole developer of web applications in PHP and mySQL to be used by different parts of the firm. Projects include production tracking and recruitment tracking. Also added new features to legacy PHP applications and provided server administration.
- SAIC: IT Administrator, February 2006 - July 2007 (Feb - Sept 2006 through Rotator)
While working for SAIC, I worked with their proposal center, supporting the collaboration software Livelink by administrating the server and troubleshooting user problems. I also performed PC and Mac technical support and server administration for a large number of creative professionals. Also did small amounts of web development and software development for internal projects.
- Kerry-Edwards 2004: IT Intern, August-November 2004
As a full-time IT intern in Kerry-Edwards 2004 headquarters in Washington, DC, I assisted with general help desk issues including assisting people with computer problems by solving both hardware and software issues remotely and in person. Also aided in computer construction, deployment, and inventory.
- Statistics.com, Arlington, VA: Web Developer: May-August 2003, May-December 2004
Working at Statistics.com, I maintained the site and its interactive features (store, forum, glossary) by making and modifying PHP and CGI scripts, HTML pages, graphics, and server maintenance.
- Horne Engineering, Fairfax, VA: Graphics and Web site intern: July-August 2001
At Horne Engineering, I updated the company's Web site to make it comply with section 508. I also created presentations, posters, graphics, and Javascripts for the company Web page.
